Recently I was handed a tiny bag full of tiniest of penguins, discovered on the local flea markets. I do recognise a couple of them, but for most I have no idea of their origins.

Let's start with this one. This is clearly part of a Christmas-themed toy train – there's a slot on the back of the sleigh fitting for the connector seen on the front. I'm assuming each cart would've had different winter-y animal? The size and construction also point to it potentially being a surprise toy of some kind – either from a surprise egg or a toy advent calendar.

It is not exactly timely for summer, but as the heat rises, more I wish for the winter.
